Instruction signs are used absolutely everywhere and for everything in our society. We are so used to seeing them wherever we go, that we have obliterated them from our mind and no longer pay attention to them.

Blindly Follow The Yellow Brick Road

I altered the typical yellow cleaning signs by using, comical, absurd and unexpected phrases and placed them all over my University, much like a paper trail. By placing them in various spaces (exhibition studios, outside, corridor..) and amongst other works of art, and via this repetition, I am questioning what is a work of art, how it is presented in the space around us and in art institutions. Their presence at first will go unnoticed by the spectator but as he progresses into the show and sees this repetition of the flashy yellow, he will start to question their presence and their usage and will hopefully look at them and seek to find the remaining ones.
